From MSC to ISO 22000, from IFS to BRC Food, the Ekofish Group is exceptionally well certified. And we are proud of that!
The sustainable way of working and the exceptionally high quality of the fish have resulted in the Ekofish Group being very well certified. We are demonstrably sustainable and quality-conscious.
MSC (Marine Stewardship Council): Since 2009, the trawlers of the Ekofish Group have been the first fishing vessels in Europe to be MSC-certified. With its fishing practices, Ekofish Group contributes to healthy fish stocks, an undamaged ecosystem, and well-organized, transparent fisheries management.
RFS (Responsible Fishing Scheme): With the RFS certificate, Ekofish Group demonstrates that it takes care of the welfare and health of its employees on the fishing vessels.
ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management Systems): On the trawlers of Ekofish Group — the only trawlers in the Dutch fishing fleet — work is carried out according to the ISO 22000 standard, a benchmark in the field of food safety. An absolute rarity, which Ekofish Group is proud of!
IFS (International Food Standard) (Higher Level): During the audits for this very strict food safety standard, all risk points must be in order; otherwise, the certification will be revoked. The IFS certification of the Ekofish Group is proof of the consistent quality of our operations.
