Our trawler PD 147 has been converted into a training vessel, because we want to pass on our knowledge of sustainable fishing to future generations.

Ekofish Group wants to pass on its knowledge of sustainable fishing to future generations. In 2009, the trawler PD 147 was converted into a training vessel. The fishing vessel offers space for eight students from fisheries training programs. The ship is equipped with a dual bridge, allowing students to act as skipper themselves and experience the practical reality of the fishing profession.

The PD 147 is unique in its kind as a training vessel. Ekofish Group believes it is important that future fishermen are given the opportunity to learn sustainable fishing in practice. The training vessel operates on a cost-covering basis with regard to the students and has no profit motive. It is a piece of responsibility for future generations of fishermen that Ekofish Group is happy to take on!
